Chapter 1

OK well chapter 1 was interesting, a lot of basic information on what its going to be like to be a teacher. Which is good because you can always guess what you think its going to be like but you don't really know, so it was nice to have the statements from other teachers. Also on page 10 "making a subject inviting to your students" that was a very helpful experience to have read, it just gave me the real deal on how sometimes things are not as easy for one student as they are for others to grasp so you need to make sure your trying to reach all the students and get them involved. I found it intriguing when i read about the different passions for teaching, i discovered that i have more of a passion for the teaching life. I'm glad that students are becoming more tech-savvy it opens up the classroom to way more teaching possibilities. Although sometimes you might have students who are not as familiar with computers and the Internet as most of them are, but it's great to have options with new technology. I found it surprising at first when i read that there was indeed a demand for teachers with disabilities. But then when i read through and saw all of the good things they can bring into the classroom it made sense. This chapter has prepared me more for what to expect when i become a teacher and was very helpful and informational.

  1. Hi Amy,

I think that this was the funnest reflection to read today. I liked the depth of your reflection and how well you expressed these in class today. I'm looking forward to reading your other reflections!
